When Silence Has It's Say
By TA Odinson Walsh, 1519, CG/CW
Near sundown on Woden’s Day
A stasis fills my mind
A calm to guild and guide the way
Toward what I may find
Within the folds within my soul
When silence has it’s say
The iron bell begins to toll
On sundown Woden’s Day
A ravens cry I hear
And then a wolf’s howl joins the fray
But never do I fear
For these, they are my natural kin
Whose voices I do pray
Will lead me to the grove again
Toward midnight Woden’s Day
Come sun-up, Thor’s Day, I’ll have found
A light dawn doesn’t know
And ‘midst the peace a precious sound
Whose shine will ever show
The wisdom which comes from inside
When silence has it’s say
And upon Sliepner I do ride
Each sundown, Woden’s Day
