Thief of Time and Tears
T.A. Odinson Walsh
I’ve stolen hearts and stolen gold
I’ve stolen glances fair
At lies that never should be told
To those for whom we care
I’ve bent the rules and bent the bars
Of prisons where I wept
For all that lies beyond the stars
And how my kin I’ve kept
I’ve struggled long and struggled Trú
But struggles made me strong
With peace I breed what I once rued
To make right what’s been wrong
I’ve stolen but I’ll steal no more
For now I would but give
For all that might yet lie in store
In this life which we live
And that I might not steal a glance
Of maiden’s tears again
By seeing that my circumstance
Is shared by all my kin |
